Vineyard: Gomes Vineyard, Andrus Island (Sacramento River Delta). The Gomes family has been farming here since the 1800s, when they immigrated from Portugal's Vinho Verde. Dry-farmed and transitioning to organic certification.
Winemaking: Native-yeast fermentation in stainless steel. Traditional method, bottled with fresh yeast and a small amount of sugar for secondary fermentation, aged briefly, then riddled and hand-disgorged. Short aging preserves brightness and freshness.
